East to West 2002

"As far as the east is from the west, So far has He
removed our transgressions from us" Psa 103:12

Something strange happens when we are forgiven. Though God
forgets, we don't forgive ourselves. How often we think about our
past sins. How frequently we pray, "God, I've sinned the same
thing again!" All we are saying is that we haven't forgiven ourselves.
We still have our eyes set upon our past. Don't get me wrong. It is
not bad to look at the past. We must learn from our mistakes. We
must realize how we got into the mess that caused us to "fall" into
sin. If we don't, we are condemned to continually repeat our sins.
The truth is that we must remember our past, but in remembering,
we must grow beyond it.

The thing that is wrong is dwelling upon the sins of the past -- continually
feeling condemned because of those sins. After all, when you are forgiven,
YOU ARE FORGIVEN! Get that? The psalmist says that God removes
our sins "as far as the east is from the west". Think about it. Can you
ever go so far east that there is no longer an east before us? Absolutely
not! We can never come "full circle" and become reattached to our sins.
Can't be done. Our problem is that we cling to them. Perhaps they are
a crutch we think will help us hobble into God's ways. Maybe we hold
to them as a lifeline -- thinking that if this "God thing" doesn't work out
that we can follow that line back to the old ways. We might even think
that we need to punish ourselves by pondering what we were, constantly
whipping our spiritual selves so that we can be forgiven. We may even
think that we can straddle the fence and live a bit in both worlds.
WE CAN'T!

It is time to realize that when God forgives us, we need to forgive
ourselves and quit dragging up those sins. It is time that we
understand that when we ask to be forgiven, the guilt is gone.
Any further guilt we fell is not conviction which leads us to
reconciliation with God, but is condemnation which comes
to us from satan and leads to eternal damnation.

If you've sinned, ask God to forgive knowing that He will. Then move
on into the future knowing that God is your right hand, your strength,
your salvation. All things past are forgiven. All things are made new.
This day is like God's grace. It is new, fresh, and clean just waiting
for us to make it into a good day! Hallelujah, Amen

Dear Grasshopper,
I am delighted with this current writing, for it shows that
you have come a long way baby!I remember that little girl
so hungry for knowledge of her God ,she would do anything to get more and more of Him. I am tickled pink.
my friend as I read your words as I periodically check up on you.Just like a doting parent keeping tabs on their kids to know just where they are in the Spirit. I would comment on this latest post above me? I know you know when temptation is beginning to drag you into that oild sin mode, for I know you remember how it starts, the emotions:and the pattern that sin slowly begins its crawl over you,you also know the effect of the eventual rush toward sin that you so hate in you.
Your gratitude for our Spirit,Jesus, and our Father is as
tuned in to your self that you are. This is the timing of it all, when that moment starts to raise you up for the fall that you know is coming you must engage the most power of your Faith in
asking the Holy Spirit to help you,you know all your emotions involved in this process of yours.I also know that you intensely dislike going back in time for you had thought that you were finished with that way forever.

Not so grasshopper, for it will be with you until we leave
this world. Old ways have been with you long enough,it is now time to examine yourself, as you go into that old pattern of past ways of doing things , which are not/will not ever please you? Those old ways never worked, you only went into them to please yourself, not your God.They were only a habit, which you must learn that there are many options ;you already know within you that you have the authority of the Trinity to give you help when you are not strong enough to come against the evil one, then you instantly claim Gods promises and ask your God to help you.You know all those feelings from the past, and you know when it is time to put your faith into action. If you perceive that whenever you know that temptation is knocking at your door, and you know when, then seek help from God.It is only the second part that you have little knowledge of,for only once do you need to see the timing and your faith in action with your Gods help to become the overcomer that I know you are. And lastly, that it does take"three persons to seek your forgiveness from the Father, the person you might have offended, and yourself. You don't forgive anyone but yourself, the father knows the correct forgiveness mode for you to be in. The Spirit in you will handle the first two through Jesus in you,the last one you forgiving yourself.God covers this nicely ,from East to West ,luv. Already knowing that ,your faith and love for your God and His love for you ,will
presently provide you victory in Jesus.

In His love,
